1. Introduction
PageOne ("we", "our", or "us") is an AI-powered screenwriting assistant. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using PageOne you agree to the practices described below.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Voice recordings — when you hit the Record button
- Content data — scripts, transcriptions, and other creative content you create within the app.
- some anonymous device data
3. How We Use Your Information
- To process your creative content through our AI features (transcription, genre generation, story review).
- To send you service-related notifications and updates.
- To make sure only legitimate users on real devices can access our service
4. Third-Party Services
PageOne uses third-party services to operate. These include:
- OpenAI — for audio transcription, and review features. Content you submit may be sent to OpenAI's API for processing.
- Firebase (Google) — for app integrity verification.
- Amazon Web Services — for AI-powered genre detection, titles sugggestion and beats and characters review. We use a selection of hosted generative AI models with AWS Bedrock
Each third-party provider operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them. These providers are contractually required to protect your data to a standard equivalent to this policy.
5. Data Retention
We only retain the above-mentioned data for the required period to provide the service expected from you (transcription, AI review). They are deleted on our end after that. We do not retain your content (scripts, characters, transcriptions) on our servers after processing. Our processors (e.g. OpenAI) may retain it transiently in line with their own policies — OpenAI, for example, may retain API request data for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring unless a zero-retention agreement applies. We do not use your data for any other purpose than providing the service to you.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), access controls, and credential management via AWS Secrets Manager. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100 % secure.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to:
- Access and receive a copy of your personal data.
- Rectify inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
To request deletion or withdraw your consent, email privacy@pushlap.co. Your saved ideas live in your own iCloud (CloudKit) and can be deleted anytime directly within the app.
8. Children's Privacy
PageOne is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
